I'm using a Eheim 2080 on a 54 gallon corner aquarium. I know it's way more than I need. I'm curious what I should set the flow rate at. I'm going to have common and fancy goldfish and a school of neon tetras. Thanks.

I have fancies too and you can never have enough filtration for them lol.

Don't know about commons, but fancies don't do well in fast moving water/current. If it's easy to adjust, I'd say set it at max and observe how your fish handle it and adjust as needed. I keep my 2 HOB (Fusion4/AC50) filters at max flow and with the water up to the rim there's not much current in the water column.
