I picked up a 205 today for a good price and I've got it plugged in etc and its all running well, apart from a leak.

I know where the leak is coming from, its the part where the top and bottom join, so far I have tried removing and re installing all media baskets and also greasing the gasket with Vaseline. Neither of which has helped.

The clips do not feel as solid as on my APS EF. And it takes a lot of strength for me to be able to push both parts together.

Any ideas what's wromg and how to fix it?

Did you put any vaseline on the gasket that goes around the upper unit?

Do not use Vaseline, it is petroleum based. This will break down the rubber seals. Use a silicone based lubricant.
