When i do a water change, i dump out my fluval 304 and clean off the sponges. once im done with the water change, i hook the hoses up to the filter, then pull the lever all the way down to open the valve so it fills with water. once it is full, i plug it in, and my tank fills with tiny air bubbles. Is it normal for all this air to come out?

I have a 404 and do the same thing.. It takes about an hour for the thing to get all of the air out. Just let it run and it will work its way out

ok, and how often do you replace the filter sponges? thanks for the help
