Aquarium Advice Addict
Hi AA members. so I've had my fluval chi for some time now and while i'm waiting on the dwarf hairgrass to carpet through the walstad method, i was thinking if there's anything out there that could replace the existing light that came with the aquarium. I find the filter and light system hanging in the middle of the tank very bothersome and takes a lot of space. I would like at least medium lighting level so that i can grow other plants and at least keep my DHG happy. Obviously i need to replace the filter but that's easily solvable but the lighting is a dilemma that i'm running into. I would prefer LED but if nothing else regular bulbs would do.
I was also wondering if the light that comes with other fluval aquariums, ie SPEC or III, is clip-able onto the Chi.
I would like to keep the cost of the LED setup below $20 if possible.
Any suggestion is welcomed. DIY project is good too.
