Im a real newby and cycling my first tank (fishless).
I have a question about the heater, its a Fluval M 200W. It has a small blue led when it switches on. The water is up to temperature and has been for a few days, the heater turns on every 4 mins and then off for 4 mins. I can tell because there is a 'tick' noise as the thermostat must come on/off.
Two things, firstly should it be coming on and off so frequently? should it be audible?
Its positioned vertically near the corner on the back, up one side with the filter over the other side of the tank. (opposite ends)
