Hi. Wondering if anyone can help me figure out what's causing this haziness on my glass. I've tried scrubbing it off, I've tried a razor, I've even tried lime-a-way (carefully) and nothing seems to improve it. It's like it's etched...and there are weird patterns in it.

I think you will find that it is in fact etched. Buffing may remove some of it, and it usually isn't really noticeable when filled. I have a couple of old tanks like that, and use them anyway.

Yes I'm pretty sure that's what's going on too...So, no idea what could be causing it? I'm about to get a new tank and I'd like to avoid it happening all over again! I'm going to switch to different types of rock and substrate.
