GE's Silicone I: GE012A

Well for those of you worried about using GE's Silicone I here's some feedback from Momentive Performance Materials, GE's silicone rubber supplier:

It is not a product we recommend for aquarium use but have heard people
have had success with it.

From the other information I've gathered you should also let the silicone cure for at least a week before submerging it. Well that's about it.

I found this part funny though:

On the GE-1 bottle it states in VERY small print not for use below water line or in aquariums.

As long as it cures it is fine for the tank. its inert.
 
I found this part funny though:
just a standard corporate footer

a couple things they prob never tested with aquarium use so yes they are not going to say its ok with out testing it. or B they sell aquarium silicone which is a fraction of a GE1 tube at several times the price and dont want people to use GE1.
