glass canopy question

I just acquired a 72 gallon bow-front tank. It came with a glass canopy, but the flexible piece that closes off the back where filter, heater, etc. go is missing. I know that a fully sealed top is not exactly ideal, but the fish I have in my 40 gallon currently like to jump a little and I want no carpet surfing - not to mention I don't want my youngsters giving the "fishies" any new "toys." Any ideas where I can get a replacement flexible part? If not, how about a different option. Thanks!

Maybe put some netting over the tank there or some egg crate.
