Glass too thin for 20g?

Hi guys, I am currently setting up a new tank just want some opinion is the 6mm glass too thin for the below dimension that it is not strong enough to hold back the water:

Lenght: 61cm
Width: 26cm
Height: 46cm

I am currently filling up water almost to the top of the tank will the glass hold the pressure?

Thanks.

That sounds about standard width glass.. 1/4 inch. Obviously you would need a frame top and bottom..

That glass would seem to be thick enough, (sounds like a 20 gal tall) and no you don't need a frame , top or bottom.

Yeah it is a very tall one I'd say. Are we sure I don't need to frame any part of the tank? The glass looks fragile to me I am constantly living in fears.

Thanks.

I have one very similar to that, but wider front to back. It is alnost square. It has no frame, and I built around 1965 or 66. It is in use right now (holds about 27 gals), holding 2 young pair of angels and five alibino Coryadoras paleatus.
