good pump for maingano's ?

looking at setting up a maingano tank and am just curious as to what pumps will be best, if not using more than one to provide a perfect habitat for the lovely mbuna cichlids

i was asking around today about sizes for 4 maingano, and looking specifically at different types and shapes of tanks, around 45 g is the desired size, (longer rather than higher), im thinking two external pumps on either side, with inbuilt biochemical filtration, as for filtration, i'm trying to work all that out, because my maingano' seem to be rather sloppy eaters. is the two externals overcompensating, (i dont know the exact model or power, as of yet, but i know they go in the cabinet under the tank. ill get back to you on that
