Anybody worked with this stuff? Curious as to how much expansion it goes through. It says minimal expanding on the can, but I've seen what the red can does so I'm curious. Don't want to open the can to try it as it says its single use application only and seals itself shut in two hours.

Appreciate any input.

Thanks in advance.

Finally worked with this stuff for the first time. Not quite as expanding as the original stuff, but still expands pretty good. Very slick with rocks on the glass, so the first row was extremely difficult to hold in place;

After that, the remaining rows were not too bad . . .

As you can tell from the pictures, it is difficult to keep it exactly where you want it.

We sprinkled a layer of black sand over the drying foam once we had completed the final set;

Thanks, the tank itself is still up in the air, debating between another native bog tank or something else all together. One of the things being considered, if we can get the terrastrial area totally sealed off is a carnivorous bog.

That sounds really cool! So it needs to be sealed to keep the soil from being too moist? I don't know anything about carnivorous plants. :)

Yes, IME if the soil is too wet, the carnivorous plants (at least the varieties I have tried) rot. I did try some in the original bog, which was what it was set-up for, but they just rotted away.

Looks awesome! I love using GS. I built the background to my crested gecko's vivarium out of this stuff. I would love to try it in an aquarium eventually.

Thanks - don't know that I would say I love using it, but I love the effect it produces. Now to just get the darn thing sealed. We rechecked again today after siliconing last week, and still have several major leaks we need to get sealed up.

On a happy note, my 30gal is leak free, so should be able to finish it up soon.
