H.O.T Magnum micron cartridge

I forgot to take out the micron polishing cartridge after a water change so now the filter is totally clogged with debris. The instructions say to clean it with water and bleach (3:1 ratio) only problem is, I don't have any bleach.

Any ideas on cleaning it? I let it soak all day and the bucket it's in smells AWFUL! I think I should just go out and buy some bleach.. but if there's another way I'd be glad to know.

Spend the dollar on a bottle of bleach. If you don't have any Prime (or equivalent) pick some of that up also to neutralize the chlorine afterward.
