I currently have a 250w MH with 2 Actinic 24w T5s on a 55g. I am considering going to a 4 T5 bulb fixture which would give me about 215w I believe.

I'm not concerned with power consumption in regards to my electric bill. I have had a but of a heat problem which has been controlled with clip on fans blowing across the surface.

I have just acquired 2 very small colonies of zoas. I dont really think i'll do sps. Just dont have the time to invest in it. What has made me consider this the zoas look brown when the halide is on but as soon as the halide goes off they look awesome. I think the Actinics are not powerful enough in comparison to the Halide.

All that being said, will I have a problem growing Zoas, other easier corals, and later a Nem with the T5 setup?

Thanks

Also I am considering buying the T5 fixture and doing some DIY work to it with the T5s and MH together.
