Hang on skimmers

What are your guys thoughts on hang on skimmers?

They are ok. I had a CPR Bak-Pak skimmer and it churned out junk all the time.

It would make my sump setup a lot easier. Are they ok to hang on the sump?

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I currently have a HOB Aqua C Remora and it is pretty dang good. Granted it is my first skimmer, but it puts out quite a bit of junk. I am upgrading to a 65g and currently have a 20g sump and it will help out quite a bit to use it. Hope it works!

try octopus hang on skimmers. they are far better than cpr or aqua-c. especially one that utilizes a sicce pump.
