So I went ahead and purchased this system for my 20g long mini reef.

So far I am very impressed with the system. The additional heat put into my aquarium is minimal (.2 degrees) with the lights on the mounting legs, however there is a problem. My tank is now a pain to get into! The system came with mounting hardware, but no instructions on how to hang it. As far as a handy man goes I can follow instructions pretty well, but I can't make my own up. The company is sending me instructions but I thought I'd try you guys so that I can get it done tonight.

The closest thing I've found to identical hardware is this. Any help would be apprectiated.

Get a threaded "eye" bolt to screw into the light (I would put a nut on back for security) then get a threaded turnbuckle. Here is a pic. http://images.orgill.com/200x200/2675585.JPG
Just put a threaded hook in ceiling or whatever you are hanging from. connect the turnbuckle to the hook then hang your light. I like this setup because you can easily adjust the height of your light by just turning the turn buckle. No need to take light down to adjust. They have this hardware at Walmart, HD etc.

Since its not a real pendant but more of a hood unit you will need to hanging points on the unit. Then put two eyehooks in the celing. Make sure your in a celing joist as the last thing you want is the canopy pulling out of the celing directly into the tank while its on.

If you rig up some pullies you can even rase and lower it on cables to service the tank. YOu will need to fashon a way to secure the cable so it does not drop when you dont want it to.
