I have a Aquen200w Heater in a 35g, it seems to be working properly, Light comes on when its heating, its set at 82 because of the cold winter, but lately my digita; thermometer has been 73-74, it used to stay at 78-82, i took the heater out to make sure it was working,, It was...thinking now it might be my Thermometer, its a knock off of a Coralife Digital,I even took the probe out, and put it in my 10g, where the strip thermometer says 78-80, and it never got any higher than 64, and that cant be true, In the 10g is a Tetra HT30, Do i need a new heater or Thermometer, (Im going with a battery change first in thermom...:fish2::fish2::fish2:

My guess would be the thermometer, if you have a digital thermometer for taking temperatures in the medicine cabinet you could use that to verify the water temperature in both tanks this would help you eliminate the faulty equipment.
