I've got a heater question too but didn't see the point in posting a new thread. I do not have one at this moment and I'm not sure which one is ideal for my tank. It would be so nice if they just had catagories for tank sizes and say you need this one but they don't! lol I'm looking at a JBJ T3-150 True Temp Heating System w/Controller & Titanium Heating Element 150w at MarineDepot.com - is this a good one or more than I need? I've got a 46g bowfront tank. My temp right now w/out a heater is staying around 72 degrees F.
most of them do have a category for what size tank. If you check marine depot and look at the list of those jbj units you will see, in your instance, the last line before it goes to the next model where it has "30 - 50 G"
That means that it would be a good choice for tanks between 30 and 50 gallons. If you have a 46G, I would shoot for either that one or one model above.
