What's the appeal of these? I know, different strokes for different folks. But I seriously don't get the appeal of them and don't think they look that good. Any thoughts?

I don't get the appeal either. They are terrible for keeping fish in. They are too deep for the surface area and difficult to light properly. I doubt I would take a free one.

I'd have one if I was well versed in SW and wanted a seahorse tank, but for FW they're kind of a pain. I've seen some corner tanks that are sort of a hex shape for sale on CL, but no ones buying them either.

I dislike them thoroughly. They don't give fish enough room to swim back and forth. Fish (usually) don't swim up. They're a terrible idea.

I certainly don't find them appealing but to each their own. I don't see anything positive about them, especially when it comes time for fish selection.
