What would you suggest?

I'm using RO water now but I'm thinking its not DI. called the water store today and well....they didn't know what DI was!
I have had Diatoms for the last month or two and just saw my first spot of cyano. I guess I should test the water for silicates first but....

Whats your pick?
RO/DI unit... http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/store_pages/details/rounits.php?product_ID=ro-afb050

or
Coralife PC's... http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/store_pages/details/l-pc.php?product_ID=pc-ll36962

gonna have to cut and paste the link...sorry...damn abb.

I would say get a filter direct RO/DI on ebay for 70$ and also get the lights. You don't need to spend 250$ on an RO/DI unit! Also shop around for the lights. You may find them cheaper elsewhere. If you DIY your lights (a no brainer, you don't really DO anything other than screw the assembly to your hood) then you should be able to fit it all within your budget. (www.hellolights.com seems like a popular option). Let us know what you decide!

VHO and PC are pretty much on par with each other. VHO is usually a little more to setup initially, but the bulbs are a little cheaper, so long term VHO is probably the better of the two.

I have no experience with T5's, so I won't comment. (Heck, we don't even have T5's in the LFS's here!)

get the pc's. you dont neeed the ro/di unit yet. i get my ro form the grocery store and its cheap. jusat find a store that has the ro machine ine is 36 liters for 6 bux. the pc's will be more useful for your cora
IMHO
