HOB filter choices for 10 gal

I wanted to get a [acronym:d91aff2c4f="Hang On Back"]HOB[/acronym:d91aff2c4f] filter for a 10 [acronym:d91aff2c4f="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:d91aff2c4f]. I already have a penguin 170 for my other tank. I like it fine, except the monthly cost of replacing the filter. I was wondering if anyone knew of a [acronym:d91aff2c4f="Hang On Back"]HOB[/acronym:d91aff2c4f] power filter that was as economical as a canister filter, where you just rinse a sponge and refill a reusable bag. I have been researching and I have the impression that the aquaclear 100 and the whisper fit this expectation. Am I correct? Does anyone have any experience in this regard? I don't want to buy more filters.

The Aquaclear does...it uses a sponge and a bag of carbon. You will need to replace the carbon bag occasionally...the sponge can be rinsed. The Whisper uses Bio Bags that should be replaced each time. They are fairly cheap though. However, I would probably go with a Bio Wheel Mini and rebuild the carts...see your post on the Penguin 170. Bio wheels are hard to beat in [acronym:13970c9cf4="Freshwater"]FW[/acronym:13970c9cf4].

I might go with the penguin 125 if the idea about the batting is easy
