HOB fOR 29 Gal

I"m giving a friend my empty 29 gal tank and they will be needing to get a new filter to go with it. I prefer canister filters myself but their set-up is better suited to a HOB filter. Any suggestions for brands and flow rates would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would go with an Aqua Clear 200.

Yeah, i'd go Aquaclear for sure. a 200 or 300 would both work, though a 300 gives quite a bit of flow....good for messy fish, not great for CO2 injected, planted tanks.

I just ordered an Aquaclear 70 (the old 300) for my 29 gallon Tanganyikan tank.

I have an AquaClear 70 (300) on my 29 and it does a great job of keeping it clean.
