Exclamation HOB Overflow Box LEak

I have the ESHOPPS pf-1000 HOB Overflow box.

I hardlined with PVC from the bulkheads to the drip tray.

I have a leak now from one of the bulkheads from the overflow box.

I took the bulkhead apart and cleaned and inspected the gasket and the box. No debri, sand or cracks.

re-assembled and still leaks.

any suggestion for an urgent repair?

Well, how did you install the gasket? On the nut side or on the flange side? Is the flange on the inside or outside of the box?

The gasket must be on the flange side, and I prefer the flange inside the box. If the gasket is placed on the nut side water will leak through the threads past the nut.

If all is correct, smear a thin layer of aquarium silicone on both sides of the gasket, reassemble, and allow to cure overnight.

the overflow box has been together for 7 years and no problems... gasket was on the inside as per directions.

Just after I got ride of the hoses and shifted to PVC is when the leak started.

I found a new LFS in my area and fortunately they stock bulkheads. and they had them in stock!

replaced both on the box since its a dual and all is good now
