How can i make backround standout better

I have a nice backround for my 100 G Accrylic tank, however, once water is in the tank the backround fades away and you can hardly see it. I have heard something about a product that you can apply to the backround and it secures the backround to the tank and at the same time makes the backround much more visible. can someone tell me what this product is called and is it safe to use on plexiglass ?
Bert

Here Aquarium Backgrounds: SeaView Gel Background Adhesive and Sealant from K and A Imports is one such product. Several manufacturers make em. Also people have used cooking oil, vaseline, liquid silicone, etc to stick the background to the tank.

I would just paint the back of it and go with a solid colored background.

Bert B, the product in the link claims it is safe for acrylic. I have seen this claim on other, similar products. Probably you are safe, but I appreciate your caution. Especially with a pricey tank.

with things that can attack plastic, it could be a disaster, i am not sure what vasalene or cooking oil spray would do to it.

I'm not to keen on those common backgrounds with rocks and plants on them so I went a different route. I'm big into scrapbooking so I took several sheets of 12x12 scrapbook paper (dark brown patter), taped it to some poster board, and then taped the whole thing to the back of my tank. I absolutely love how it looks. Just another idea on another option.
