How to clean the cover?

The tank I just got is a tropiquarium 88 with a full hood. It has sat in a barn for awhile and is really dirty. What can I use to clean it that will be safe? I will use vinegar and water for the tank itself but the lid is really dirty. i used windex and it didnt come off.

my wife would shoot me if she saw fish stuff in the tub. I thought her head was gonna explode when she saw my DIY python in the shower draining lol.

I would use bleach and water. Rinse very good and then let it air dry completely.
