The tank I just got is a tropiquarium 88 with a full hood. It has sat in a barn for awhile and is really dirty. What can I use to clean it that will be safe? I will use vinegar and water for the tank itself but the lid is really dirty. i used windex and it didnt come off.

i had a hood that i found in a yard sale from a barn, it was caked in dust and dirt... i soaked it in a bath tub overnight then took a sponge and cleaned it...
