HURRICANE IRENE!! power outages?! please advise!!!!

hello all,

i live in CT and we're about to get hit w/ this hurricane irene nonsense. theyre saying they might shut down power before it gets shut down by the storm. IM WORRIED ABOUT MY FISH!!

i have a small battery generator i can run the bubbler & heater on for a while but is there any tricks i should know about when dealing w/ power outages?

any and all advice is appriciated.

oh & its a 55gal african tank.. nothin crazy

Idk what the temp is there, but here in nc I chose to run the filter since its in the mid 80s to conserve battery. Good luck!

As long as temp, ammonia, and nitrite don't go up, you should be okay. Siphon water out and pour back in to aerate if necessary.
