Hydor heaters

I have 4 hydor 50w heaters that were previously used for a period of time before being put away.

Forward 4-6 months later, I decide to setup several 5 gallons for freshwater shrimps. But the temperature settings are all wrong.

One is set to 70f and its heating all the way to 82f, two of them won't even turn off at all. I didn't even bother with the last one and went to get Eheim Jagger 50w heaters to replace them.

Anyone have experienced anything like this?
