Hydor smart level controler overflow

Hi guys, its been a while since i've been on here but i recently had an issue with my hydor smart level controler. While i was away for the weekend, the pump failed to turn its self off when the high level sensor was reached. The system has been working perfectly for the last month that i've had it other than this. I have a 30 gallon reef tank and luckilly i only had about 5 gallons in my top off reserve so the salinity in my tank didnt drop TOO much before the di water ran out but i would like to avoid this issue in the future. If anyone has had similar problems or have any thoughts, please let me know.
