Hydrokable heater

So I just got my hydrokabel heater in the mail and i didn't read carefully enough that it doesn't come with the electronic thermostat. How important is that? Can I run it without that or SHOULD I get it before I start my setup?

yes. I run a controller on all my heaters, even if they have their own thermostat. I use one that alarms on over and under temperature.
