Ikea Expendid as a stand?

I'm new, so I can't post a link, but I was wondering if anyone has used the 4 cube Ikea expendid as a tank stand? I have the TV stand and it is VERY sturdy.

i have the big expedit one, and we have a tank in it.

we took the middle divider out of of the top shelf and put our 5 gallon in the middle.

When you say the big one which one are you referring to? and do you just have a 5 gal on it? or a bigger tank and a 5gal? 5 gal tanks don't weigh all that much..

Just the 5 Gallon - and mine isn't on the top of the furniture, it's on one of the shelves. If you're putting it on the top it should be able to handle a 20 gallon tank (I would think), but I wouldn't even put a 10 gallon on the shelves.

If you can actually go to an Ikea, you can sit on it and see how sturdy it feels.
