It will take a couple of days to clear but it should clear up on its own. I wouldn’t add any “clarifiers” to the tank. I’d wait till it cleared up a little bit before using your skimmer but once it’s settled down you can start using it right away. It will probably be a week or two before you notice much skimmate though.

i couldnt help but check my water today i know its early, but my ammonia is like 0.05 and 0.1 and my nitrite is maybe 15-20 cant really tell the colors look the same to me. could it be die off from the rocks that made my nitrite and ammonia shoot up like this?
