as long as it don't contact inside the tank you are fine
I used black flex seal on all mine holds up great and looks great almost same finish as rhino coat

I just painted on plain old water based cheapo craft paint. Worked nicely and came off well when I decided I needed more light. If I didn't want to be cheap I'd use a water based acrylic enamel from a good paint store (high end trim paint).

Yea any indoor outdoor paint works. Should be acrylic, and matte. I used rustolium on a 75 and 180, toom three coats and maybe 15 mins between coats.

So I bought some blackboard spray paint, mainly because it was £3!
And it's fine to use on glass, all I have to do is try to be gentle and not scratch it.

I'll probably have a go at spraying after college on Wednesday.

Update:

I'm unbelievably happy with the end result.

Went on very smoothly, took 3 coats.

A lil bit managed to seep through any gaps in the masking tape but I scraped it off and washed it down.

I actually sprayed the wrong side (because I'm an idiot), I thought I wouldn't be able to read the thermometer but I was just imagining things.

Sooo yeah... Blackboard paint is the way to go.

none of these streaks show '
I always spray long ways than switch short ways back to long ways and so on
this helps get a cleaner finish with no streaks
looks good though
lmao
hide the chalk just about fell on the floor
if anyone wrote on my tanks I would have to knock them upside the head a few times lol

Nope, it's streak-free.

In all honesty it was completely covered in 1 horizontal coat.

I just went over it 2 more times for the hell of it.
