issue with hydor powerhead

Put in my brand new hydor 1400 today and started off great went to do some errands and came back and the powerhead was stuck. I unplugged and plugged back in and it started up normal. Any thoughts or anyone else had the same issue? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have two of them and I found that after a while deposits build up on the bearings inside. I soak them in white vinegar for a while, rinse off really good, and reassemble. Runs fine after that. Make sure the little O rings around the outside of the bearings get put back in place or it will not run right.

It is brand new

If it were me in that situation I would definately return it to be replaced. It should not do that brand new out of the box.
