Hello
Here in Portugal I can only find these two external pumps.
The main function is recirculation water from a 30/40 G sump into a 120 US G reef aquarium.
Can you advice wich is the best choice for me.
They ask for Iwaki 20 – 365 USD, 30- 437 USD and 40 – 545 USD
Deltec HLP 4040- 375 USD.
The water elevation will be 3 ft and the hole in the aquarium back glass is fitted for a ½” - 20, (making glass holes here is almost impossible, even by professionals!!!) so I think a have to make a reduction in some part of the plumbing system. Would this affect the performance of the pump or even damaged it? Any suggestions?
I have an Eheim 2227 wet-dry (270 g/h), an Azoo 2500 (600 g/h) a Maxiject 1000 and an Eheim 1046 (about 100 g/h). Can I use one of these for recirculation instead or it will mean Big Trouble??
Other industrial external pumps brands available here are Lowara, Zeda, Culligan, Lutz, Maso, Blackmer, Catpumps, Ritz, Varem, Kecol, Sihi, Grundfos, Verta, Pentax, Viking.
Does anyone heard of them or know if they have pumps appropriate for aquarium use?
Help before I make it all wrong. Thank you
