What is the minimum watts and LED light should have to grow coral? Maybe even sps.
 
I'm goin to get them 120w full spectrum ones you were talkin about on that other thread. Thanks
 
doesn't matter what watts cuz LED should not use watts/gallon to messure.
As long as you can get 250~500 in PAR then you are good with SPS. 150 ~350 for LPS and 80 or higher for softies.
 
Alright. I'm have to look into the PAR and stuff and see what I come up with.
 
yup, few things also good to check while looking at the fixture
1)brand name of the LED being used, that would determined 80% of the price of the fixture (CREE/Bridgelux/EPISTAR/OSRM etc)
2)spectrum graph that the light provides.
It is the best to have the light spike between 350nm to 485 nm where 350 is close to UV, 400nm is violet etc
