I'm downsizing to a 10 gallon, and would like to keep soft, LPS, and have the possibility of SPS. Im wondering if the 165 watt panels from eBay would be way overkill. I'm watching one a my a good price right now.
What other options do you think that aren't crazy expensive?
And how about the EVO 18" 10x3watt on eBay

165w ? Most exterior floodlights on houses use a 120w bulb, isn't that gonna be really bright??

Ok, got the light. Seems a bit too much[emoji5]
Would 10, 3 watt LEDs sustain coral?

The light you got are great units. Many members use them to keep photosynthetic corals without issue.
With that said, it is going to bombard your small tank with light. It is going to need to be cut down significantly. If you can't dim it, using layers of mesh screen as a lid and even if egg crate will help defuse the intensity.

I ended up buying the SB! I'm going to hold on to the one I have for now, maybe even keep it for when I upgrade.

Time to build a new hood for my 30" ellite ramping sb I just picked upIMG_4226.jpg
