The higher temps do highlight most colours, but if you have serpae tetras, you should see them under a 2800k flora sun bulb.. brilliant red..

The Allglass bulbs have a good spectrum, the blues won't affect your plants as they look for the "spectrum" not the "visible light" which are 2 different things. The higher temperature bulbs may compact growth a little since they are higher in the blues which will penetrate the water 60% more (so effectively your plants will see a big increase in blues, but this is not a bad thing.)

You will probably like the colour that comes off those bulbs, I know I did before I switched to 5000k-6500k for my plants (more of an equalibrium of spectrums)

Shouldn't have any negative effect on the plants. I have a 6400k on my 26G and love how it looks. And as for my 75G, I've got both 6400k and 12000k on it, and it looks great.
