I have recently purchased a drilled 65 Aqueon, fill kit,SWC160 Cone skimmer, and a ProFlex Sump 2. My next big ticket# is a decent light. I have 40# lbs of dry rock and sand. My goal is to be patient, which is no problem since I just had Major Heart surgery. Just still researching lights, and if things work out and I really like this new hobby I will start the reef stuff. Tank is 36"L x 24"H x 18"D. What I keep going back to is the Finnex DL-T3639. Is this a good choice value in the event I go the reef option? Thanks for the advice

What kind of reef are you after? Depending on the types of corals you want to keep will determine how much lighting you need.
