means it's cheaply made and it does show. BUT the lights themselves do work well. I kept a good assortment of corals under mine until I upgraded. I have a nova extreme pro 12 bulb light now and the difference in the workmanship and quality is quite noticeable. :)

I have to metal halide lights but they get to hot and I don't want to keep them on for 12 hours a day alot of power consumption...

That's koo I will upgrade soon. I just need something now first saltwater aquarium wasn't cheap and my wife is already irritated by me spending so much money plus I need a water chiller witch is also expensive.

My new fixture just came in yesterday and I got it set up last night. So far, it appears to be fairly well made and works as advertised.

I have read a BUNCH if reviews and what I have come to the conclusion of: Odyssea lights have been undergoing growth and change over the last several years a lot like Hyundai cars have. Started off as cheap junk, but have been learning and improving their products.
