Thank you again I'm going to check out the rest of the links you provided while I'm waiting for my silicone to dry.

No one said planted tanks have to be complicated. You can have a beautiful planted tank with minimal setup and maintenance. When you browse through those links read up on the low light setup. A couple right bulbs and some root tabs and off you go!

I saw that! I must admit I'm intrigued. Maybe there's hope for me yet

I have several of the Lowe's shop lights. Have used them for years for general lighting. I recently began using one for my 29 gallon tank until I can get the money to order a T5 light. I use the daylight bulbs (6500k) bulbs and have it mounted 5 inches above my water line. It is bright. When I have it on I don't need to turn my room light on. According to the light chart everyone has recommended to follow it gives me low light. I included the chart in my post. My plants are doing better. My java fern, money wort, and ludwigia at least. My penny wort has almost all died. Of course the fish keep pulling the leaves off of it so that probably is what is killing it.

Oh! That's PERFECT! Just what I need.. A cheat sheet!! Thank you so very much! Seriously thank you. That chart breaks each one down into language I understand. I'm actually beginning to think this is a possibility for me. Not going to lie..I'm a little excited lol!
