Will VHO's be enough to penetrate 24" deep tank? My husband is worried about the electricity bill with halides. Mostly because he thinks the air conditioner will kick on more. I WAS going to get 3 250w halides. Does anyone know if this hikes up the electricity bill?

Hey Mary. I think you will be fine with the VHOs if you stick to soft corals and LPS corals. If you plan on adding clams, SPS corals or high-light anemones you should still consider MH.
