Lighting???

We have a 75 gallon tank with what I believe is considered VHO lighting. It's got 2 blue lights and 2 white lights. At night we have been turning off only the white lights and leaving the blues on. Ahould we be turning them off too?

One more thing how long should the lights be on daily?

12 hour light cycles, and yes turn all the lights off, you can also look into some moonlighting that you can purchase on ebay for 30 bucks. Good luck!

I agree. Definitley turn the actinics off. If you want illumination, moonlighting is the way to go. You can find any number of moonlight setups on the net.
