Since the 4 ft 4 bulb fixtures are out of stock for a long time they've offered me a 2 two bulb 4ft for price of a 4 bulb. Rookie, how do you think this might look since you have a two bulb fixture. Would they be alright stacked next to each other like that?

I had two fixtures like that myself and was good for my FW tank, but now that I'm going to SW I wish I would have gotten a single 4 bulb because I can fit two 4 bulb fixtures over the tank but can't fit a 4 bulb and two 2 bulb ones...

So it depends on your future plans.

I honestly think you'll have a hard time fitting two fixtures on your tank. My 40 breeder is 6" wider from front to back and I think I'd barely have enough room.

Ya, I was worried about the size...I may take them up on the offer just for the deal haha.

For me it looked just fine. I had them over a 55 and didn't have any problems with fit. I had 2 US Current fixtures.
