which is better LED or like a t8 bulb for plant growth and better display ?

I think a lot depends on how deep your tank is and what kind of plants you want to grow. There seems to be recent advancement in LEDs for plant use, but the up front cost is higher.

T-5 ho and high quality leds are the way to go. T-8s aren't very good for growing plants at all but only very low light plants. You can get very cheap t5-ho dual fixtures on amazon and have medium light.

I use T-5HO lighting, and have excellent plant growth.
That being said. HO lighting normally requires that you add a carbon source, either Glute, or CO2, and a fert regimen should also be implemented.
