I just got a 55 gallon tank and have a prizm deluxe skimmer, a odyssea canister, and all i need now is a good lighting system. Metal halide is a little to much on the pocket book. I have 35 pounds of live rock and want them to thrive and have good growth. i am thinking of going with high compact in this setup
4-65 WATT BULBS
2- DAYLIGHT 12K AND 2 TRUE 03

That much light above a 55 will cause some heating issues. At least it did with me. A pair of 55w 50/50 bulbs will do just fine for what you have.
