hi guys..

I am ready to order my lights for my reef
i need to buy 2 bulbs

here are the choices..

  • 1) 10,000K

    2) Bright Blue (Peak output in the 420-430nm range with almost all output between 400nm and 500nm)

    3) Deep Blue Actinic (Peak output in the 420-430nm range with almost all output between 380nm and 450nm)

    4) twin-tube bulb has one tube that is 10000K and one tube that is Deep Blue 03 actinic

Which ones should i get and in what configuration.

i cannot turn one bulb on @ a time.
the ballast does not allow it, so both the bulbs will be on and off at the same time..

i could get 1&2 or 1&3 or 4&4 or 1&4 you get it..

So what do you think..

Thanks for your help

it would be helpful to know what you will have in the tank and what type of bulbs you are buying and also what size the tank is.

Lol.. Ur Right... :)

well the tank will have GSP, SOme shrums and Xenia.

2X65 watts of PC light should be good.. IMO

i wanted to know which configuration is best..
and which is better.... bright blue or Deep Blue Actinic

Thanks

Kamla

Unless that is a very small tank, that is probably not enough light. But going on the assumption that it is a small tank, I would go with the 2 # 4 option. This will be a nice blue color to the tank with enough actinic for any purpose.

ok, I still stand by my option choice, you should do ok with that.
