lighting questions?

i wanted to know what kind of lights are best for plants above or below water? auctinics or full spectrum

Full spectrum in the 6,000K to 10,000K range are generally considered best for plants [acronym:a6e74d39bd="As far as I know"]AFAIK[/acronym:a6e74d39bd]. Within that color range its really a matter of preference.

I agree with Steve 100%. Actinics provide very little photosynthetically useful radiation and are thus not very good plant bulbs - but they do look cool

oohhh because on the box for coralife actinics it says "ideal for saltwater, reef, and freshwater plants.
guess its problably for marketing though.

th 10,000K that comes in there too is what's good for the plants.
