<----is wondering how many emails jess1ca gets a day since she started this thread....lmao.as far as hanging them....there are so many options to choose from, either the traditional way from the ceiling,in a custom built canopy, bending electrical conduit or hanging it from the wall behind the tank with a flower pot hanger...creativity goes a long way in this hobby

I don't know of a single fixture that will cover a 48" span, I would go with two of these taotronics dimmable that everyone is using. I found them for around 160 online.

Jumping back in here, many on my earlier posts are in the 50's pages. I just picked up a 40g breeder and will be getting at least one more Tao Dimmable LED set-up, but more likely two. My 10g is just exploding w/ growth and I'm seeing new things every day. I'm an LED believer. Hey X, thanks for the recommendation!

Looks awesome...if you want to take it a step further you can build a nice canopy like I did

Looks good! Does that restrict the exhaust?

so it's basically a frame built around the case ?
I like that,
does it help with glare from light spilling out at all over

I made it a little larger to let the exhaust out..eventually I'm going to cut pieces on an angle to direct the exhaust down
