Lights: Deal or No Deal?

Gathering equipment for the next 90..... Deal or No Deal ?

2- 250w pfo mini pendants w/ pfo dual 250w hqi ballast and oldish phoenix bulbs $200

Sounds like a deal. New pendants are around $100 each and a dual ballast around $350.

Thanx Cap,

Enough light for a 4' 90. Not much of a coral person in the current 90 but being pressured to make this one more 'reefy'

Oh yeah. Those and maybe a couple T5 or VHO actinics and you're set.

Here's Sanjays chart showing the performance of all the 250w bulbs he tested with a PFO HQI ballast. DE are the double ended bulbs you will use. It will give you a good idea of how different bulbs perform and what you can expect from the new bulbs you will be buying.
Take note of the PPFD and CCT. The CCT is the actual K temp of the bulb.
