Liquid Gravel Vac

Anyone used this stuff? It's supposed to be aerobic heterotrophic bacteria that eats uneaten fish food and waste, etc. Apparently, if you use it you only have to vacuum your gravel once or twice a year. Too good to be true?

No, no, no, no, no. Please, shield my eyes from such madness....

Unfortunately, this kind of product makes me wince, because it is a shortcut that just should not be taken, IMHO.

I am old school, I know, but I just have to "take out the trash" when it comes to my tanks, providing fresh water and removing solid debris. In a closed system I don't see much of an alternative.

Are there progressive types out there with some science for me to back up this product?

I'm with TG on this one. That is one short cut I am unwilling to take.
