Liverocks.com Out For a While

I sent an email to liverocks.com the other week when I was looking to make a purchase and received this response from them:

I am afraid we are out of the rock business for a while, at least a year. Four hurricanes passed near our keys reefs this year and Rita really hit them hard. The damage will take a full summer to get back a marketable product, maybe longer.
The Gulf reefs were hit by a very severe red tide in August and will be over two years before they will produce again.
I am sorry we can not supply you nor do I know of any aquaculture companies that were not wiped out this year.

Thank you for your interest in aquaculture live rock! www.LiveRocks.com

that IS sad. I have some of their rock, and its good stuff.

I just hope they are able to make a comeback, but I'm pretty sure LR sales isn't their only source of revenue, so its probably just a waiting game.
Former advisor and planted tank geek...life's moved on though.
